This is a weekly group for men who want to develop and/or strengthen a healthy bond between themselves and their children. The group will focus on healing and strengthening the father/child bond, healthy fathering, being a healthy role model to their children, and being a Dad vs. just a father. We will also cover working with a spouse or ex-spouse to be partners in parenting in a healthy way that puts the children first.
Participants will examine their own father role models and the type of attachment they had. They will learn how their past affects their current circumstances. The curriculum includes participants understanding realistic expectations of their children, how to connect with their children in safe age appropriate ways and non-abusive, age appropriate discipline skills.
